At Lighthouse Learning Center, our Trauma-Responsive ABA therapy focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow while using evidence-based techniques to teach new skills and safer responses one on one. Our team always approaches the therapy relationship presuming learner competence and potential, focusing on building trust and rapport from day one.
Socio-communicative Skills Support
Social skills are critical for a child's success in school and life. That's why we offer social engagement programs designed to provide learners with a variety of opportunities to develop meaningful social relationships with peers and adults in a supportive and fun environment. Our programs are tailored to the unique needs of each learner, with small groups designed to provide individualized attention and support.
Community Engagement & Collaboration
Our Community Engagement and Collaboration programs focus on providing local organizations with free resources and training support. From Ballet Lubbock to Texas Tech, we believe community partnerships are an important responsibility to maintaining the emotional health and wellbeing of our community beyond the clinic doors. Our work focuses on education, awareness, acceptance, and understanding of neurodivergence and disability in an effort to build a more inclusive community.
Lighthouse also serves as a continuing education and fellowship site, hosting students, interns, and doctoral candidates from various universities and programs.
Caregiver Coaching & Support
At Lighthouse Learning Center, we believe that caregivers are a critical part of their child's success. That's why we provide parents with practical strategies for managing challenging behaviors, improving communication, and fostering positive relationships with their children. Caregiver sessions are intended to offer coaching and guidance through simple yet effective strategies to use at home and out in the community, Ongoing communication is prioritized to ensure caregivers feel empowered their parenting journey.
